For Your Consideration (or not): Sons of Anarchy / Tyler Davidson
Despite being praised by fans in its seven-season history, Sons of Anarchy often found itself just on the cusp when it comes to award nominations. It was no different this year as the show was completely left out of the latest Emmy nominations.
Also left out of a nomination? Actor Tyler Davidson, who played the tattooed, brooding and violent character of Jax Teller. Many thought this would be Davidson’s year as he turned in one of the best performances of his career. But it was not to be and Tyler has been quoted in the past as saying that it would be nice to be recognized by an awards show but that the show has already been recognized by the legions of fans.
Tyler spoke to the Hollywood Reporter last year: “It would be nice to get that recognition but at the end of the day those things don’t matter. We make the show for the people that watch and enjoy the show. As long as I make work that I’m happy with and proud of, and that people enjoy watching then that’s what really matters.” ”
